The Saint

Newsletter issue #1 - May 2015

New faces and old souls, welcome to the brand spanking 2015 season of netball! It's super exciting and somewhat daunting to know that our first game is upon us. Or should I say, finally??!

Firstly, you will have noticed that we have gone digital! I hope you like the new facelift - and whilst the Saint's colours are not yet in program, it is much easier to navigate (or so I think)

There is lots of news and updates coming into the first week and your committee has been very busy putting all of the mechanics into place. So thank you to the committee for all the hard work and commitment that has gone into grading, trials and training.

Yours truly will be sending out newsletters fortnightly (hopefully) to keep you updated on PNA and Saints related news - and of course all the social events for the season.

GOOD LUCK for Saturday Sainters! Go out on court with a determined mind and heart full of passion.

PNA News for Saturday

PNA is happy to announce that all divisions playing in the 2015 Winter competition will have one of their rounds played in the State Netball Centre. Each week, one complete division in each time slot will play their matches indoors, meaning all games on that day in that division are played under the same circumstances.

The logistics of this rotation are posted on the MyNetball website.

Click on the picture to see the new court map for indoor court numbers.

Parking and drop off zones

Along Selby Street is the new drop off zone. Please enter and exit via Selby Street lights to avoid unnecessary congestion through the Salvado Road carpark. Because we all know how slow it is!

Yes, you heard right...lockers are now available for hire in the ladies change rooms.

Want one? Head to the Match Day Office and for $2 you can hire a locker. They even babysit your locker key during play time which you can collect after the game. Convenient or what!

Who am I?

Afternoon gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until the final call of the game...or I'm out of breath. I shall take no crap, hold no grudge. I shall wear no bibs and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the eye of the sun. I am the watcher on the lines. I am the shield that guards the realms of netball. I am the start, the middle and the end. I pledge my whites and honour to the game, for this game and all the games to come. Who am I?

I would like to thank all the members of our club that contributed to this years Bunnings Balcatta Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 25th April 2015 - Anzac Day.

For without all of your help this fundraiser would not take place.

Special thanks to our extended family members that assisted on Saturday, they were Bec Kellam's husband - Rob, Petra Roberts' Mum and Peta Williamson.

These people gave up their valuable time to help our club. Another thank you must go to Lisa Fulker's mum - Jenny who organised discount at Coles. GREAT EFFORT!

I must also give thanks to two people who worked tirelessly with me all day, they were Lisa Fulker and Kerry Grynberg. AMAZING EFFORT!

Once again I must thank everyone who contributed to this event.

I am proud to announce that this year we made a profit of $1,751.30 which is a FANTASTIC EFFORT, considering Bunnings Balcatta did not open it's doorsuntil 12 noon due to Anzac Day.

Check out the photos from the day on Facebook!

Kylie Grynberg :)

Our club would not function without the fundraising efforts we put in to support our players. All fundraising goes straight back to you, funding lower fees and social events. We are a players club and it makes me so proud to be apart of a club that supports each other.

So PLEASE, get behind the Entertainment Books - they are a great gift idea or for your own use.
