November 2023
Our mission at MBI is to attend to and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, ensure high levels of learning for all students, and show GRIT every day.

Bronco Leadership Code
Our Bronco Leadership Code is how we recognize our students each month at our GRIT assemblies. Each letter in LEADERSHIP stands for a trait we, as a district, strive to live out. November we are looking for DEPENDABILITY and will recognize students at our GRIT assemblies at the end of the month. Parents and families of students who are chosen will be contacted by their teachers and are invited to join us at these assemblies.
5th grade GRIT Assembly: Thursday, November 16
6th Grade GRIT Assembly: Friday, November 17
Worth the Read
Mustang Bronco Family Night
Please join us for Mustang's first ever Bronco Family Night! Each family that comes will receive academic, behavioral, health, and safety resources for your student and go home with some FREE instructional resources!
Veterans Day
We would like to formally invite you to our Veterans Day assemblies and receptions taking place on Friday, November 10. 5th grade assembly will be at 9:00 and 6th grade will be at 1:30. Current and past military family members are invited to wear service uniforms and join us for a reception following both assemblies. We are putting together a slideshow of pictures honoring MBI's Veterans and would love a picture of your loved one for that video. Please use this LINK to submit your photograph and information. If you have multiple family members to honor, please do a separate submission for each one so we can have the correct information included. The deadline to submit pictures is Friday, November 3.
Fill the Bus Toy Drive
Fill the Bus is almost here! The district-wide toy drive, collecting NEW, unwrapped toys for local families in need, begins Monday, November 27th and will run through Friday, December 1st (the week after Thanksgiving). Our toy collection goal is 10,000 total toys from the eight elementary schools, three intermediate schools, three middle schools, the high school, MEC, and other offices including Transportation and MERC.
What is Fill the Bus?
For those that don't know about Fill the Bus, it is Mustang Public School’s annual Toy Drive that is partnering with Santa’s Toy Shoppe and the Mustang Fire Department benefiting families in need right here in our community.
The student leadership programs at Mustang High School, Mustang Middle School, Mustang North Middle School and Mustang Central Middle School collaborate together to make this fundraiser happen.
You can help promote this event by purchasing Fill the Bus apparel!
CLICK HERE for our online store. All proceeds go towards buying more toys!
The online store closes next Wednesday, November 8th.
When ordering, be sure to enter your student's name and school in the comment box on the Check Out screen. Orders will be delivered to the school site of your choice at no additional cost.
Orders will arrive before Thanksgiving Break.
We are so excited to see how much of an impact our Broncos can make for local families!
TEN THOUSAND toys in FIVE days filling ONE bus for an AMAZING cause! Let's go BIG, Broncos!

Meadow Brook Health Fair
The Physical Education department at Meadow Brook participates in Healthy Schools Oklahoma. Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to have OU medical students conduct a “health fair” at school during PE on Monday, December 4. The OU students will have three booths focusing on nutrition, physical activity and tobacco. Our 6th grade students enrolled in PE will spend fifteen minutes at each station. It is a fun, interactive, and educational experience for our Meadow Brook students. If you do not want your student to participate, please fill out the form below and return it to Mr. Hasty or Mrs. Wiewel.
