PK 4.4 Newsletter

Good afternoon PK 4.4 parents,

Thank you sooo much for attending Parent Teacher Conferences! We had a very productive two days and I enjoyed very much being able to spend some time with you sharing your wonderful children's achievements.
This week's newsletter will be a bit less informative than usual, but I hope you enjoy looking at the activities we did this week.

Have a great weekend!

  • International day on October 19th
  • Conscious Discipline seminar on October 21st
  • Remember to have your child bring a picture or small replica of an iconic place or landmark of their country to present (further details are available in letter sent on Monday).
  • On Saturday and Sunday is the annual FANLYC walk. Traditionally we've done a significant amount with this group and we will do more later this year.

Getting ready for International Day

This week we started working on crafts to decorate our classroom for International day. We used this craft opportunity to reinforce concepts such as colors, shapes, patterns, and fine motor skills.

Fire Drill and leading Flag Ceremony

We had our first fire drill this week. Students did an excellent job following instructions and making sure they stayed safe.

Our class also led flag ceremony this week and did a great job singing the anthem and the school song.

On Tuesday, our students had the opportunity to attend a performing arts show in our P&G Theater. We had a blast with all their creative costumes and dance moves!

How are clothes made?

On Friday we had the opportunity to see how clothes is put together using a sewing machiene. Thank you to Ms.Eliana our designer for taking the time to bring all the materials and show us how to make a denim clutch bag.
