Advice from the Big Dawgs: Alumni Bulldogs and Students Connect Online!
Join fellow University of Georgia students and alumni for the fall Advice from the Big Dawgs virtual networking event!
Students will get the opportunity to connect with alumni professionals in industry areas who live around the world! Alumni can share experiences, exchange career tips and students can build a global professional network - all online! It's free, it's only an hour, and it's fun!
How it Works:
Online networking enables you to speed-network no matter where you are in the world. You can sign in from your home, office, library, phone or tablet. The chats are text-based and timed, allowing you to make connections, exchange contact information, and end the hour with several new connections (and possibly new interns) you didn't have before.
FOR ALUMNI/PROFESSIONALS: Here are some ideas on how to get the conversation started with students:
- Do you know what type of career you are working towards?
- Do you have an internship lined up for the summer?
- Are you involved in any professional organizations?
- Why did you decide to participate in this event
If you have any questions about this event, please email Bethany Mills at bjbagley@uga.edu.

WEBINAR: Setting Yourself Apart During Your Job Search, Regardless of Your Age!
Currently, there are five generations in the workplace and each generation is associated with positive and negative stereotypes. Learning how to make an impact, regardless of your age is what puts you ahead of the pack! You don’t have to be looked at as the lazy Millennial, the out of touch Baby Boomer, or the lone ranger Gen Xer.
The three biggest challenges people face during their job search will be explored. This is designed to help you take months (or even years) off of your job search! Join us for this interactive webinar. All generations are welcome to attend!
Guest Speaker: Porschia Parker, founder of Fly High Coaching and the Millennial Performance Institute
