BRONCO CAMP

August 8, 2022 from 1:30-4:00

Parents, you can begin dropping off students at the main gym at 1:30. Students will be placed in small groups and will rotate through an orientation that focuses on campus life, organization, culture, traditions, and effective study habits.

Students will also receive a paper copy of their schedule, their school computer, and locker assignments.

We will have a brief parent meeting in the main gym at 3:30 pm. At the conclusion of Bronco Camp you will get a tour provided by current BJH students. After the tour students are encouraged to walk their schedule and find all of their classes. In addition, this is a great time to set up their locker. You will need a lock for your academic locker.

NEW STUDENT NIGHT

August 8, 2022 from 5:30-7:00

If you miss Bronco Camp we will host a New Student Night on August 8 from 5:30-7:00 pm. This will be a come and go event when you can walk the campus, and get your schedule, school computer and locker assignments.

Teachers will not be available at this time.

These events are for incoming 7th graders or students new to Bedford JH. All returning 8th and 9th graders will get their official schedule and locker assignment on August 10th.

FIRST DAY AUGUST 10

Student list will be posted on the cafeteria windows with their FIRST PERIOD class. All students will report to their first period class at 8:20. In first period they will receive their official class schedule and academic locker assignment. Scheduling issues will go through the counseling office.

Students need to bring their district issued device on the first day of school. 7th grade and students new to BJH can get their devices at Bronco Camp or New Student Night. All returning 8th and 9th grade students kept their device from last year and should bring their computer and charger with them on the first day.

Students are allowed to carry one backpack to class. All other bags need to be in a locker. Students need to provide their own lock for their academic locker.

A general school supply list can be found on our website. https://www.hebisd.edu/domain/919
