STAAR Test Prep @ Home
Your student knows how to login to their Classlink account from the Red Oak ISD website (we're doing this daily at school now). Go to Classlink and select "Online Digital Resources."
To help prepare for STAAR MATH at home, have your student work in Education Galaxy under the LIGHT BLUE TAB. The goal is to turn ALL topics GREEN before STAAR!
For math, students can also work on memorizing their multiplication facts and work on three-digit addition and subtraction the old school way! (Annnndddd all the parents cheer!!!!!) - Contact Mrs. Inman with any questions/concerns about this.
www.mathplayground.com is a great site with multiplication games that helps with memorizing facts. You can play games as a family here, too!
To help prepare for STAAR Reading at home, have your student work in Education Galaxy under the LIGHT BLUE TAB. The goal is to turn ALL topics GREEN before STAAR!
For Reading, students can also work on Smarty Ants from their "Online Digital Resources."
Reading 20-30 minutes each night at home also helps a lot! Building their stamina to read for longer amounts of times is so helpful when it comes to taking the READING STAAR. Don't forget! You can ask them questions like: "What are you reading?" "What is the story about?" "What is the theme?" "What happened at the beginning, middle, and end of the story?"
3rd Grade App
Do you feel like you are missing information about 3rd grade that would be helpful?!
Check out the link above to access our 3rd-grade app that includes all of our information for this year. If you have any questions about the app, you can ask Ms. Garcia for help.
Daily Take-Home Folders for Face-2-Face Learners
We are also tracking and communicating behaviors through the daily folder. If your child receives a behavior mark, it will be documented in the folder. Please initial/sign anytime your child receives a mark. This helps us know that you saw the mark.
If the folder comes home with nothing on the calendar page for that day, that's great news and your student had a good day!
Seesaw - Communicating with 3rd Grade Teachers
Friendly Reminders for Face-to-Face Learners
