ROYAL REVIEW (10.02.20)

To be Christ-centered in our words, thoughts and actions.

Family Faith Formation

Dear Queen of Angels Families,

Thanks to a couple generous donors, we have been able to purchase bibles for all the students. These will be sent home with the different classes in the next week or two.

Also, I would like to extend an invitation to all of our school families to participate in our parish family of faith program. In order to focus on the need for children and adults alike to grow in our knowledge of the faith and our relationship of prayer with Jesus, we are offering materials free of charge to help you study and grow in the faith as a family together in your home. At the beginning of each month there will be an evening meeting for parents to help you grow in the faith and prepare for the upcoming month's activities. At the end of each month, after the 10:30 Sunday Mass there will be a meeting for all the families to come together, grow in our faith and build relationships as one parish community. I hope that many of you take advantage of this excellent opportunity. Please pray for our parish church & school, that Mary would open our hearts and minds to the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

With love and prayers,

Fr. Zak

Our virtue this week is COMMUNICATION- - The strength to convey and share one’s ideas, feelings and concerns. Anything great that we want to achieve in life takes COMMUNICATION. We cannot accomplish our goals as a team, a family, a business without excellent and constant COMMUNICATION.

Please join us at Texas Roadhouse on October 7th (from 3:00-9:00 p.m.) for another fundraiser, and have a great meal to celebrate the Feast of Queen of Angels Parish. You must show the flier (that was attached to your email) either on paper or digitally.

On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, we will celebrate the dedication of Queen of Angels Church. In honor of this day, please plan on wearing a Spirit Wear shirt. We ordered new Spirit Wear shirts this year, or if you did not purchase one of those, you may wear another Queen of Angels t-shirt. You will be required to wear your uniform pants, however (khakis).

Thanks for helping us celebrate this awesome day!

In October we take time to honor the dignity and respect of ALL lives. Some of our Eighth graders will be joining Mrs. Meyer and Mr. Wiegmann at the Right to Life Banquet on October 12, 2020.

Let us always remember how precious a life is.

The end of our First Quarter is October 22, so Fall Conferences are right around the corner. Please look for a letter and email from Mrs. Etter inquiring about times for you to come and meet with your child/ren's teacher. We will be offering conferences both virtually and in-person.

Our conference dates are as follows:

Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

  • 1:00 pm early dismissal for the students. No aftercare

Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

We look forward to meeting with you and discussing the students progress.

FALL BREAK is Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30, 2020.

A couple of reminders on masks that students bring to school:

a) Please make sure that they are school appropriate. Think about appropriate t-shirts, and use the same thought process with masks.

b) Many students are coming to the office to get a mask in the morning because they do not have one. Please make sure that your child has a mask daily.

c) Make sure that you are regularly cleaning the masks.

Thank you for all your efforts on these matters.

As many of you know, Verification Day was very different this year. Due to this, Mr. Wiegmann will be visiting the classrooms in the next couple of weeks and creating a video tour of each classroom as well as a brief message from each teacher. We look forward to the day when restrictions will be lifted and we will be able to provide more in-person interactions.

The Angelus

V: The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

R: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women,

and blessed is the fruit of they womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners

now and at the hour of our death. Amen

V: Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

R: Be it done unto me according to thy word.

Hail Mary...

V: And the Word was made Flesh (genuflect)

R: And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary...

V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

R: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts;

that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son,

was made known by the message of an Angel,

may by His Passion and Cross,

be brought to the glory of His Resurrection

through the same Christ our Lord. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,

a world without end. Amen

Glory be...

Glory be...
