Congratulations to Ms. Kiss and her 3rd grade class for winning the Red Ribbon Week pledge drive! A creative bunch that made my week of online Zoom appearances a bit more eventful by designing my Zoom background for the week. They really knew how to get me where it mattered :)
We look forward to hosting families during this coming conference week and share how your child is progressing this year. Please be sure to confirm your appointment time with your child’s teacher and contact our school office if you have any questions or we can help connect you.
Lastly, this coming week the whole nation will set aside a few days to celebrate Thanksgiving, which is, of course, a time for giving thanks -- expressing gratitude for all our good tidings. Sam Harris an American neuroscientist & philosopher wrote, “There are at least a billion people on Earth at this moment who would consider their prayers answered if they could trade places with you.” For many of us, it might even be safe to say that number would be more like 3-4 billion with all that is going on this year.
Gratitude is an attitude that can have a profound effect on your life and that of our kids. Thank you for your partnership this year, and from all of us here at Edison, we wish you a safe, #EdisonStrong, and socially distanced Thanksgiving break.
