Debt Repayment
This is an agreement developed by the creditor and debtor that helps reduce payments to a more manageable level and still pay off the debt.
Credit Counseling
They discuss and suggest actions to take to reduce spending and eliminate credit difficulties for many people. There are two non-profit counseling services an individual can speak with are the National Foundation of Consumer Credit and Consumer Credit Counseling Service.
Bankruptcy
It is the legal process of reducing or eliminating an amount owed. Bankruptcy should only be used as a final option if everything else has failed.
