Reflection 13
Response to prompt for Reflection 13
What gets me excited about teaching?
1. Seeing the smiles on my students faces when they figure something out for the first time
2. Being the person that helps them understand new concepts and seeing the "lightbulb" effect happening in plain sight.
3. Being the students number one fan, they're cheerleader, making them feel good about themselves and what they are doing or going through
4. Working through difficult times with the students.
5. Making them feel like a family and that they are connected with others in case something bad happens with them in school or in their home lives

How will I use technoloy to convey my excitement, and keep my students engaged?
1. Heavy emphasis on play, whether that is with some form of technology or blocks, or even markers/crayons and drawing.
2. No high-stakes standardized testing, making students more excited to learn than having them stressed out because of what they are supposed to be doing. I could have them play games on a form of technology to make it seem like fun, but in all reality, have it as some form of testing.
3. Trust. Trusting that your students are actually working on a form of technology project instead of playing games. Trust that if you give them something to do on the form of technology that they actually do it.
4. Personal time, where students get time to play instead of force place, its actually scheduled into the class period and lesson plan.
5. By using Mystery Skype we can collaborate with others to have a more fun and fulfilling class period.
6. Setting up a class forum for my students to connect on so in case they miss class or have an emergency the don't miss out on what we did in class.
