January 2023 Navigator Elementary Newsletter
Principal Message
Happy New Year!
We have fun learning planned for the month as we jump into 2023! Coming up next week is the Winter Music Showcase. This concert will exhibit the learning our student have been engaging in from the start of the year. It will be fun and uplifting event for your family.
Our 4th grade has a field trip to Henry Ford Muesum coming up at the end of the month. During this actiity, students get to take their social studies learning from the classroom to the muesum. Our 4th grade teachers were able to secure a grant while planning for this field trip to cover the cost for all our students to attend.
This month also marks the half way point in the school year. The semester ends on January 13. There is a half day of school on that Friday. This is also the day, when local fisrt responders host Navigator Safety Day. Students have an opportunity to meet our local emergency hero's and present to students on a variety of topics specific to each of our grade levels. We will have guest presenters from Hamburg Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police, Hamburg Township Police, Howell Nature Center and Livingston County EMS. Students get a chance not only to meet these local people but also ask questions.
Sincerely,
Ruth Badalucco
Principal

Mrs. Miles - Student & Family Specialist News
I believe being a parent is one of the most challenging “jobs” we will ever have. Maybe you need a fresh perspective or new ideas or just being with other parents and supporting each other. We have some great parenting classes offered in Livingston county. They will be starting in January and I wanted to share the information about them.
