Staff Highlight: Meet Rachel Naber-Thomas
What position do you hold in the building? Art & Crafts Teacher
What's something interesting about you? I've been creating photographs since I was about 12 years old.
What is something most people don't know about you? I am a tech geek chic with an artistic twist. I have a passion for computers and power tools.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like doing yoga and cooking vegetarian meals.
What's your favorite thing about being a staff member at LHS? I appreciate my art team. Last year I was new and they were a big help making me feel at home.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Update
We will have a more elaborate update later, but for now we want to share the following:
- Staff members will be receiving STRONG bucks in their mailboxes on Friday (fingers crossed)!
- Each staff member will also receive a "poster" that we ask you to hang in your room to let students know what they can purchase with the STRONG bucks they earn.

Reminder: Process and Product
- The interim period ends on October 5th.
- By that time, you should have 6 process grades and 3 product grades in HAC.
- Please make sure your TAC is set up correctly: Process is 30%. Product is 70%.
- Please add “Z” or “0” if you’ve graded an assignment but a student didn’t turn it in. This way students won’t see an inflated grade and be surprised at the end of the marking period.
One-Lunch
- Next Wednesday, October 4th, we will be hosting a club fair during one lunch in the Gym.
- Please email Ms. Neitz by Friday, September 29th with your club name and who will be representing your club so we can ensure you have a table.
- This will be a great opportunity to promote your club and recruit members. S2S members will be available during one lunch to help and encourage students to stop into the gym.
- We will follow up with a short assembly for freshman on Friday, October 6th.
