VETERAN'S DAY UPDATE
The Robinwood Third Graders learned about the importance of Veterans and their service to our country in preparation for writing letters to veterans. As a result, 68 veterans in The Villages, Florida will be receiving letters of appreciation for their service this week The students enjoyed decorating the cards and writing their letters, and are hoping to receive answers to their many questions for the veterans. Please click here for pictures
Update:
The 3rd Graders have received some feedback already from some of the veterans who have received the cards. One even emailed some pictures from his time in the Navy. The students have been so excited to hear that the veterans appreciate their cards and it's really making an impact on the kids too!

TRADITION HERE AT ROBINWOOD
In order to showcase the many cultures that make up our Robinwood Family, we will again be displaying a Cultural Tree in the lobby outside of the library. We are asking interested families to donate a decoration to be placed on the tree. This item can be either purchased or handmade. It should however depict a part of your culture or native country. Please place any decorations in a bag with a note as to what holiday and country they represent. We will then label the items with a tag stating that information. These items will not be returned, they will be kept to be reused in following years.
Also, in keeping the spirit of giving alive, beginning the week of November 30th, Robinwood's Student Leadership Team will be partnering with Southbrook Church to host a winter clothing drive that will benefit refugee Afghan families currently living at Fort McCoy. Items will be collected from November 30th - December 17th. Collection bins will be placed underneath the Cultural Tree where students can place their donated items. New or gently used items currently being requested are below:
- Children & Adult Winter Items such as: coats, hats, mittens, scarves, boots and snow pants.
Thank you for your support!

Thank you for helping us continue our tradition!
ART DONATIONS
The art room is looking for donations of paper towel and toilet paper tubes! They are used for everything from stamping to building sculptures! Please save your tubes and have your child bring them to Mrs. Valens or Mrs. Gengler. We would greatly appreciate it!
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.
