Walker Bulldog News
September 18, 2020
Dear Families,
Walker staff and students have experienced another wonderful week of remote learning! We are pleased to announce that our average daily attendance is 94%. This would not have been possible without the support from our families. Thank you for all that you do.
Please remember School District 104 is offering grab and go lunches at Walker, Walsh, Wharton, and HMS. Meals can be picked up daily from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. In order to obtain a meal, please provide your student's name to the food service provider. Families are able to pick up meals from any location; please go to the assigned doors at each building.

Parent Tips and Tricks for Remote Learning
We know that remote learning has been an adjustment for all involved. To continue to help students be as successful as possible in the remote setting, consider the following tips for students.
- Create a workspace for your child at a table or desk.
- Make sure the work area is well lit and distraction free.
- Allow your child to wear headphones, if possible, to ensure he/she can hear the teacher.
- Gather supplies before the learning session starts to maximize learning time.
- Take care of personal needs (bathroom and eating) prior to learning time.
