The Fantastic First Law of Motion
Newton's First Law of Motion
Decades ago, a man named Sir Isaac Newton developed the laws of motion, which have not been remediated since. The first law basically states that a moving object will remain in motion unless an outside for acts against it. Likewise, an object at rest will remain at rest unless an outside force acts upon it. This law goes hand in hand with inertia, which is the resistance of any physical object to any change in its velocity. For example, when one throws a ball across a field, the force of gravity and the wind would be examples of inertia.
Isaac Newton was a physicist and mathematician. He lived during the mid 1600s and his most famous discoveries were of the laws of motion and universal gravitation, which still apply today. He often considered one of the most important scientists of all time.
