Discipline over Default
A message from me...
Good Afternoon!
We have had a great first 12 days here at Jerome. This week many students settled in and appeared to be getting into a good routine. As students get more comfortable we get to see their personalities and that is always great to see.
We the turning of the calendar and Labor Day weekend upon we begin to enter the next step in our calendar. Starting on Tuesday we will focus on the NEXT 9, which will take us to September 15 and the midway point of the 1st quarter. Over the NEXT 9 days students will be asked to demonstrate learning via assessments or created products. This will be a great time to help with time management, planning and practice. The more we all reinforce it the more success we are likely to have.
Another area we will focus on in the NEXT 9 days is concept of DISCIPLINE over DEFAULT. All students on Sept. 5, 6, or 7 will begin our R-Factor lessons to help build and practice behavior skills that will help them be the best version of themselves.
The goal for all students throughout the month of September is to respond with Events (E) with a disciplined Response (R) to achieve a desired Outcome (O). I have shared a short video below to introduce you. I will share more resources throughout the month of September.
Thank you for all your help and support to help us get our school year off to a great start!
Better Together,
Mike
