Weekly Newsletter
Dear Parents,
At Pk3 we take our time clarifying classroom rules and offering consistent routines to create a harmonious environment. This is why this week we have continued our conversation following our focus question: “What are our rules?” At circle time, we have sparked our discussion about classroom expectations using our school’s 5 Bees. Among these expectations, we emphasized actions we can do with our hands. Some hand actions can be harmful, so we talked about the many wonderful activities we can do such as clapping, drawing, waving and playing. Our second focus question “When do things happen at school?” guided our children through our daily schedule. Our schedule discussion was introduced with the “Hickory Dickory Dock” rhyme. We explored the beat of a ticking clock and accompanied it with rhythm sticks. We have learned that a clock is a tool for telling time, and our schedule is another way to tell time and find out what comes next in our day.
Have a wonderful weekend,
