With the prepared guidance for all teams, we look forward to the first standoff at the Singapore Final and potentially win up to SGD $15,000.
Following the first win, get excited to meet and network with other enthusiasts like you from other countries. The learning too doesn’t stop. Have your teams incubated by StarHub and further develop your ideas for the Regional Final in Singapore. In the Regional Final, stand to win up to SGD $25,000 coupled with a sponsored trip for your entire team to Barcelona for the prestigious GSMA Conference.
Apps can be developed across a range of categories such as education, entertainment, healthcare, commerce and many others.

Elibibilty, Objectives and Timeline
At least one applicant from the team has to be of age 18-35 and a resident of the participating countries, while the team must consists of 2-6 applicants. Applicants should also not have any current venture capital funding more than SGD $250,000.

Objectives
One main purpose for the competition is to create employment for youth, while we concurrently increase relevance and dialogue between participating youth and partners. Also, we hope to increase conversion rates of ideas and concepts into viable businesses.

IE Business School

StarHub i3
StarHub i3 is formed to lead Singapore’s leading telco, StarHub in becoming a top player in technological innovations and digital initiatives. Its role is to discover and deliver new engines of growth outside of the traditional info-communications business for StarHub. This is achieved through forging new partnerships, forming regional think tanks and incubating new ideas from innovative entrepreneurs.
These initiatives are underpinned by StarHub’s big data platform – SmartHub, a National Research Foundation-supported project aimed at creating new classes of applications and solutions, in collaboration with higher learning institutions, start-up companies, and large and multinational organisations.

The GSM Association (GSMA)(Groupe Speciale Mobile Association) is an association of mobile operators and related companies devoted to supporting the standardising, deployment and promotion of the GSM mobile telephone system. The GSMA organises the largest annual event in the mobile industry, the GSMA Mobile World Congress, in addition to smaller, targeted events GSMA Mobile Asia Expo and the GSMA NFC & Mobile Money Summit. Spanning more than 220 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies, and media and entertainment organisations.
