-Listeria is a bacteria.

-Listeria spreads through plants, soil and infected poultry and cattle when it is eaten.

-Listeria is commonly found in deli meat, hot dogs, and unpasteurized dairy products.

-Listeria causes fever, stiff neck, confusion, weakness, vomiting and diarrhea.

-Listeria is prevented by cooking the food or antibiotics when people are infected.
