Try This! Make Your Own Mental Health Checklist
After viewing the example below, we encourage students to come up with their own Mental Health Checklist. Feel free to share your checklist with your counselor!
STUDENTS LEAVING TOWN BEFORE THE END OF SCHOOL
" Parents, please be aware that we cannot "approve" of a student ending their school year early to leave town or leave the country. Students who leave before the end of the school year will still be counted absent. We do not do traditional semester exams, but we do have an end-of-year summative assessment in each course that students must complete. If you leave before this assessment has been administered/completed, the student will receive a zero for the assessment and will have to make it up in the summer. At that time the grade will be updated, but we do not allow for these assessments to be given any earlier than when they are regularly scheduled to be administered.
We strongly urge all students to stay in school until the end of the school year if at all possible."
