Welcome back!
I hope that you enjoyed your Christmas break and that you have come back right in stride for this semester. This month's newsletter has some VERY important information, so please give it an attentive read and be sure to hit the noted deadlines.

Accommodations
The time has arrived for us to complete accommodation surveys. Mrs. Walters received notification over the break of her deadline to submit for materials. Unfortunately, that means a very quick turnaround on our end. Please use the accommodation links emailed to you specifically to access your school survey. I have also put a copy in your School Folder under FY20 Special Services.
Please make sure you are accurate and pay very close attention to detail as you complete these surveys. A survey should be completed for each student that will take the Statewide Assessment (Grades 3-8, English II, Algebra I, Biology I, and US History). Be sure to upload the CURRENT accommodation page from the student’s IEP, EL Plan, 504 plan, or dyslexia plan.
If changes are made to accommodations, a new survey must be completed and the current page uploaded through the survey. DO NOT give hard copies to your school STC. All things regarding accommodations MUST go through this survey.
Please call, email, or text if you need assistance from myself or Mr. French. The deadline to have these completed is January 13th at 3:00 P.M.

Annual IEPs and ESY meetings
This year, we will hold annual IEP meetings and ESY determination meetings at the same time. The deadline for these meetings to be held is April 1, 2020. We understand there will be some exceptions. Please notify Mr. French or Dr. Cox if you are not able to meet this deadline.

January 20...............Martin Luther King Day - No School
February 14.............SpEd Meeting (with SpEd Chairs) @ 2:00
Febuary 24-25.........Mardi Gras Break - No School
February 26.............Pirate Academy
Note: Roster Reviews and Re-evaluation Lists will be submitted to your SpEd Chairs at monthly SpEd Leadership Meetings. They will be given a deadline to submit the reviewed/revised rosters back to our office.
