GERMAN EXCHANGE STUDENTS
For the second year, CHS welcomed a group of 15 German students and their accompanying teachers, Mrs. Schimmelpfennig and Mr. Brake, to partake in many classes and extracurricular activities throughout their 3-week long stay. The students shared their cultural heritage by reading German children stories to CHS’s preschoolers on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The students are highly impressed with CHS, and one had this to say: “The best thing about CHS is its cultural diversity. The amount of different racial and religious backgrounds really impacts the social life in a positive way here.”
If you would like to learn more about this partnership and how to get involved, please send an email to Melanie Mello, mello.melanie@cusd80.com.
