Welcome Back, Full Speed Ahead

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break.

There are a lot of events happening in the next nine weeks, not the least of which is an important transition event at Skyview for our sixth grade families. (see the notice below) Also, this is the season for our annual State Assessments (PEAKS). The window for the assessment is fairly short this year, March 27th through April 6th. The short window is a double edge sword. Very little time is lost from instruction so that is a plus, but it makes it so I cannot overstate the importance of good, on-time, attendance. If you know your child will be absent during this time, please contact your child's teacher as early as possible so we can schedule make up assessments. Thank you in advance.

I cannot begin to explain how important the PTO is to our school. It only takes an hour or so a month so please, join this very worthwhile organization.

For Sixth Grade Parents from Mr. Truesdell at Skyview

Just a reminder we are inviting all 6th graders and their parents/guardians to Skyview tomorrow night from 6:30-Approx 7:30. Mr. Truesdell will address the group in the Big Gym @ 6:30 and then parents and students will be able to tour the building/meet teachers/etc.

Also, I wanted to make sure it has been communicated to all 6th graders that we will not be opening up our activity night to them on 5/18.
