S'more Schedule

Did you notice that we've switched up the S'more schedule? During winter months we'll be sending it a little less often. Watch for it twice a month until the "busy" season!

YQCA Training - New Version

Youth exhibiting BEEF, DAIRY CATTLE, DAIRY GOAT, MEAT GOAT, HOG, SHEEP, POULTRY, and RABBITS at the Washington County Fair, Fremont 4-H Expo, and Nebraska State Fair are required to be YQCA certified by June 15 of the current year to be eligible to exhibit.

4-H Enrollment is Open - ENROLL NOW!!

Enroll in 4-H for 2022 by June 15th if you plan to participate in the Washington County Fair.

You may add or drop projects until June 15th as well.


Go to v2.4honline.com to enroll or re-enroll in 4-H.

The enrollment program has been updated and the screens look a bit different but your previous information has been carried forward into this new version.

Watch for a new date for the Public Speaking Contest.

Poultry and Rabbit Clinic

The annual Poultry and Rabbit Clinic will be held Saturday, April 30, 10am-noon at the Poultry & Rabbit barn at the Washington County fairgrounds in Arlington.

If you are interested in learning more about preparing and exhibiting your 4-H projects please plan to attend. Due to current NDA restrictions pleas do not bring any poultry with you to the clinic. You may bring your 4-H rabbits to be tattooed.

Happy National Volunteer Week!

To celebrate, Nebraska 4-H is hosting live Volunteer Lunch & Learn sessions each day of the week. You can learn more about each session and register at 4h.unl.edu/volunteer-lunch-learn. Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Award winners will also be announced this Friday! You can catch the announcement live on Pure Nebraska, or check in with Nebraska 4-H on Facebook at noon.

Week of the Volunteer - Lunch & Learn Series

In celebration of the Week of the Volunteer, Nebraska 4-H will be hosting a live Lunch & Learn volunteer training series. Starting at noon CDT, each session will provide practical tips and information for volunteers and club leaders, followed by discussion and networking time. Teen Tractor Safety Courses

Federal law prohibits children under 16 years of age from using certain equipment on a farm unless their parents or legal guardians own the farm. However, certification received through this course grants an exemption to the law allowing 14- and 15-year-olds to drive a tractor and to do field work with certain mechanized equipment. Teens 14 or 15 years of age who work on farms or others who are interested in learning about safe farming practices are encouraged to register for the course. 2022 Nebraska State Fair

As announced by the Nebraska State Fair, 4-H and FFA livestock shows will be held on separate weekends in 2022. While the final schedule is being determined, 4-H livestock shows will take place on Friday, August 26-Sunday, August 28 and FFA will take place on the second weekend.
