What are We Learning This Week?
Please see below for our learning this week! We will be starting our color unit and doing a different activity to practice that color each day. A note was sent home on Friday about the Color unit with more information. We encourage your child to wear our color of the day if they have it!

Specials Classes Information
The Specials classes at our school are art, PE, library, and music. Students attend one Special each day from 1:30-2:20.
This week, Monday is an C Day!
Mask/Social Distancing Expectations
In order to keep students and staff safe, anyone who enters our school building is expected to wear a mask. We will also practice social distancing by maintaining 3 feet of distance between students when unmasked and eating lunch. Please ensure that your childโs mask is tight enough so that it will not fall down throughout the day, and it covers their nose, mouth, and chin. Masks that are too small or too big can be problematic for Kindergarteners, so if you have an extra mask to send in their backpack that will be helpful too. We encourage them to practice wearing a mask at home or when going to stores, in order to prepare to wear one at school all day! :)
Skyward / Communication
Skyward is a holding place that the Shawnee Mission School District uses for emails, grades, and other communication. Please check your account regularly for updates! If you are unsure how to access your account, please call the front office at (913) 993-4500. We will have many forms of communication this year. We will use email, Canvas, Seesaw, Skyward, and our weekly grade-level and school-wide newsletters to get important information to you all.

ABSENCES ๐
Please be sure to call the office at (913)-993-4500 to let them know if you have an expected absence or if your child is feeling unwell. This helps us best plan for instruction and ensures that your absence is properly excused. Also, please send a quick e-mail to your teacher to make sure they're aware of the absence! Thank you!
