Welcome to the Library Newsletter

I was trying to figure out a way to condense all the information about books, website, programs and curriculum that I want to share with you, and, I am hoping this newsletter will be the trick. I will also be highlighting some of the wonderful programs that I see being conducted here in the library. Hope this is helpful and don't worry about saving them, I will be archiving them on the library webpage:

Library Fundraiser Coming

As you know, we are in desperate need of funds. In an upcoming fundraiser, I will be asking for donations to become a member of "GHS Library Friends". The English department has graciously volunteered to assist me in this project and I am hoping to have it up and running by the end of the month. Look out for further information.

Check out these websites!

As I was trolling for history videos, I came across this website and I thought I would share.

“All videos are free to watch. Selections range from the 1895 Edison experimental talking movie to educational films from the 1950s. Other entries include classic, history-themed television dramas, modern well-made documentaries. . . .We’ve collected links to a number of well-crafted history-based games to engage minds of all ages in addition to those being created by HaveFunWith” (Taken from the About HFwH page.)

Also for the other departments, check out their sister site: Most of these films were made and used in classrooms in 1940s and 50s. The cover most areas of the curriculum.
