Message From the Principal
School pictures went home with 5th, 7th and 8th graders. We ran out of time at 6th grade lunch today but will get them sent home with them on Monday. This is our last week of the 1st 9 weeks, please check your child's grades and missing assignments and talk with them about getting things turned in and their grades brought up. We have ASAP on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 for those able to stay and get extra help just reach out to the office if you would like them to attend.
Teachers have been sending out their sign ups through rooms for Parent Teacher Conferences that are held on October 18th from 3:30-7:30pm and October 19th from 12:00-7:30pm. Fall conferences are a chance for you to talk to any of your child's teachers, in February we will do student led conferences with your child's advisory teacher. I will send a separate follow up email with the sign up links.

5th Grade
Last week during our time together, we read one of my favorite books -- "Have you Filled a Bucket Today?" This book talks about how everyone has an invisible bucket and how we can fill each others' buckets by the nice things that we say and do for one another. Together, we brainstormed ways that we could fill peoples' buckets. Hopefully, some of this made it home. ;) We also started to work on our Social Contract that will be the "agreement of behavior" that we will follow for the rest of the year during our time together.
6th, 7th, 8th Grade
This week, students started the "THINK before you Speak" lesson. This lesson guides students through the THINK acronym encouraging them to think about their words before they say them out loud. Here is a link to the PRESENTATION that the students will be working on.
