🎉🏀Congratulations to our BOYS'BASKETBALL TEAM that defeated Culver City last light! Our Bulldogs defeated the Centaurs with triple overtime. Buena Boys' Basketball is MAKING HISTORY! This is a the first time a BOYS' BASKETBALL team at a public school in Ventura County has won a CIF SoCal championship! Friday our Bulldogs will play in Sacramento for the Div. 3 state championship.

⭐PARENT WORKSHOP SERIES~LAST SESSION TOMORROW!

Our Wellness center and our Counseling Department will provide a training on OPIOIDS and drug use in the library. Please see the information below! Dinner is included! The first one addresses warning signs of mental health issues and how to get support for your student. 🍽️

✔️WASC Parent/Guardian MEETING

On THIS Sunday afternoon, March 11, we welcome any Buena parents to attend our accreditation parent meeting at 4 PM in the Buena library. The WASC visiting committee visits Buena every 3 years to assist us in our Self-Study, where we evaluate our progress on our school goals. They would love to chat with Buena's Parents to get your feedback. Please join us!!

💃Prom tickets will go on sale Monday! It's April 15th, and tickets will start next week at $50. Pick up a dance contract at the ASB/student store window.

🎓GRADUATION SPEAKERS

This year any senior interested in being a speaker at graduation will turn in a speech/application by March 30, and if selected, audition before the graduation committee. This INCLUDES the Valedictorian. In the 60-year history of Buena, automatic selection of the valedictorian as a speaker was not a tradition, and the majority of staff preferred that the valedictorian audition.

🎽DRESS CODE REMINDER

All tops must have straps. Tube tops are not permitted.

👮🏽NEW CTE PATHWAY CLASS AT BUENA-First Responders

In the fall Buena will be adding a 1st Responders class focused on firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and police. If you are interested in taking this class, which will likely take place after school around 12:45 or 2:30 PM for two days a week, please sign up with your counselor. 👮🏽
