Tech Connect Night
You are invited to join us on May 10th from 6pm to 8pm at Heritage Elementary School, as Pickerington Local Schools will host our first ever TechConnect event featuring students and teachers sharing how technology is being used to support learning in our schools. The event is for all age levels and will begin in the Heritage Gymnasium showcasing a technology playground allowing all attendees to play with and ask questions about various technologies being used by our students and teachers. Featured booths include how students are using Drones, Coding, Bloxels, Ozobots, Wevideo, Virtual Reality, Google Suite, Puzzlets, Digital Clue, student news crews and more.
Following the Technology Playground, we will move to the Auditorium to watch students and teachers present projects they have completed this year. Each student will use the stage to give a 5 minute presentation to present their project. Presentations will include students and teachers from all grades bands and feature projects including first graders using Ozobots robots, elementary students creating digital books, middle school students creating podcasts, junior high students designing digital portraits, high school students creating and annotating video and more.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that the Pickerington Police Department has accepted our invitation to present a session on Digital Safety in our community.

Information about "Charging" Meals
Please note that the last day students will be able to charge a meal will be Thursday, May 10. After that date, students MUST have money in their My Payments Plus account to purchase lunch. This ensures the district can clear up end-of-year negative balances.
Please check your student’s My Payments Plus account at https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/ regularly to ensure there is sufficient money to receive a meal, as well as to clear up any possible negative balance.
Any money left over in the account will transfer over to next school year.
If a parent has a student who is graduating and has a positive balance of more than $5 left in the lunch account, there are two options.
The first option is to request a transfer of that money to any other student they may have at Pickerington Schools.
If a refund is requested the parent calls the Food Service Office at 614-833-3645. Refunds are done through the Treasurer’s Office. They are done once a month at the end of the month. Upon request we fill out a refund slip with the student information, refund amount, and the name/address of the parent so a check can be mailed out.
Refunds of less that $5 will not be processed.

Open Enrollment for School Year 2018/2019
The form is available on the district website under District forms, Enrolling and Open Enrollment. The application is necessary for the district to consider allowing students to attend a school outside their normal attendance boundaries. Interested K-6 parents must submit an application each year they are requesting intradistrict open enrollment. Applying is not a guarantee that students will be open enrolled. Approval is based on staffing and space availability.
