Spirit Wear ORDERS DUE 2/24

Spirit Wear Orders Due February 24th.

T-shirts are $10 each. OCE Magnets are $5 each.

Purchased items will be sent home with your student about two weeks later.

Cultural Arts Assembly

Our third Cultural Arts Assembly was an exciting event! Eight dancers from the modern dance company, Black Box Dance Theater, performed a variety of dances including Dr. Seuss's imagination, a celebration of Mexico's "Dia del Muerte," a non-fiction account of an American soldier, and even a choreographed basketball game-dance.

Students learned about how our bodies can make shapes to tell a story, the physics of lifting with ease, and how to interpret a story without any words at all! Black Box was fully engaging for the students and teachers and everyone got to participate. We look forward to having them back.

Silent Auction Fire Sale

Saturday's Silent Auction and Gala was another success! Thank you to all who came out and bid on items from home.

But it's not too late to participate! A few items remain, so we're opening the auction back up to all with reduced starting bids. The Silent Auction Fire Sale will be open from February 23rd at 11:00 a.m to March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. All bidding is online:

And you can still donate to OCE here - we are still a little short of our goal of hitting $5,000 in cash donations, can you help?

Read Across America Day

Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday is coming up on March 2nd so the Student Council will celebrate with "Dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss Character" on Friday, March 1st! This is a change from the previously scheduled Spirit Day on March 8th.

So get your Sam I Ams and Cat in the Hats and Yertle the Turtles ready for a fun Spirit Day on Friday, March 1! We can't wait to see everyone in their Seuss-best!

Food 4 Kids Donations Needed

Thank you for all your support of the KidsCorps Food 4 Kids Program!

The group will continue to collect food throughout the year to keep providing a weekend supply of nutritious food for children when school lunch and breakfast are unavailable over the weekend. All food is nonperishable and provided to children FREE of charge. It is our hope these resources will support the health, behavior and achievement of every student that participates.

Please continue to send in your nonperishables for the backpack program.
