Frequently Asked Questions

Where will students meet?

Afterschool, students will go straight into the computer lab. We will begin group activities at 3:15pm.

Can my child bring a snack?

YES! Definitely! I'm working my way to see if we can get club funds so I can provide the snacks for them. This will require you all to register/enroll your child!

What time do I pick up my child?

Please be ready to pick up your child by 4:30pm at the front of the school. You can wait in your cars, we'll come to you!

Can a friend/family member that is not an active student at BME join?

Currently I'm not accepting any applicants outside of BME. Once numbers are solidified, I'll see if there are open spots for other girls to join.

What happens during Club Meetings?

Each meeting will kick off with a Sisterh>>d meeting. We will utilize this time to build, trust, friendship, and one another up as girls! Next, we explore computer science and design through a discussion of parts of the Girls Who Code (GWC) book - Learn to Code and Change the World . Then, they have a fun and interactive challenge that will give them an opportunity to unleash their creativity and personality.
