Attention all Kindergarten and First Grade Families!
Throughout this school year, we have shown our appreciation to the teachers and staff at Claxton with a series of organized lunches provided by the families and PTO. The 1st Grade and Kindergarten Families will provide our fifth and final lunch on Thursday, March 30th. This lunch theme will be a “Salad” Bar.
All 1st Grade and Kindergarten Families can efficiently sign up via a Google Sheets to help out. If you are having difficulties using the Google Sheets, please email Michelle Gray with the item(s) you would like to bring and she will record it for you. To make it even easier we will be collecting all items in the AM drop off line from 7:15-8:00 AM on March 30th.

Spanish Phrase of the Week
¿Cuantos libros hay en la clase?
How many books are there in the class?
Hay muchos libros.
There are many books.
Our Claxton students who are working on their Spanish are really hitting their stride! This week, we learn a new classroom item:
libro book
We've been working on:
¿Cuantos hay? How many are there?
Putting together these phrases, and using their knowledge of classroom items and colors, allows students to start having conversations. What an empowering feeling!
Use this video to see how much progress we've made ... and to learn the Spanish words for even more classroom objects:
And just for fun, see how much of this trailer for the Spanish language version of Libro de Vida (Book of Life) you can follow!
