Farmer's Markets

Going to the Farmer's Market not only gives you something fun to do, but allows you to buy fresh, nutrient rich fruits and vegetables! Below are some fruits and vegetables that are in season during the month of July!


Vegetables: Corn, green beans, kohlrabi, lettuce, okra, cucumbers, peppers, summer squash, swiss chard and zucchini.


Fruits: Apricots, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, kiwi, mangoes, plums, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, and peaches.


CNY Regional Market (Syracuse, NY) - Farmers Market operates Saturdays year round and Thursdays May through mid-November. Flea Market is also open Sundays year round. All Markets are from 7am - 2pm.


The City of Rochester Public Market (Rochester, NY) - Public market is open 6am to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 5am to 3pm on Saturdays year round.


Irondequoit Farmer's Market (Irondequoit, NY) - Every Thursday 4pm - 8pm.


Sodus Farmer's Market (Sodus, NY) - Wednesdays 2:30pm-6pm.


Webster's Joe Obbie Farmer's Market (Webster, NY) -Every Saturday morning 8:30am - 1pm.


Elmwood-Bidwell Farmer's Market (Buffalo, NY) - The market is open every Saturday from mid-May through the end of November. Vendors are open for business from 8am to 1pm.


Eden Farmer's Market (Eden, NY) - Every other Tuesday 3:30pm-7:30pm.

Don't Forget Sunscreen!

Independence Day Celebrations


Party in the Park - The Five Star Bank Party in the Park is a summer music event in Downtown Rochester. Featuring nine weeks of music, craft beer, a bazaar, and more, this party has it all!


Bishop Kearney's Vendor Event - Saturday, July 10th 10am-4pm @ Bishop Kearney High School, 125 Kings Highway South Rochester, NY. Come shop and support local crafters, authors, bakers, artists and so many more! Rob's Kabob's food truck will be there along with concessions. Raffle items from all vendors will be raffled off.


Genesee County Fair - July 24 - July 31 @ Genesee County Fairground, 5056 East Main Street Road Batavia, NY. Over the 8 days of the fair, attendees will enjoy nightly live music, daily 4-H animal shows, pig races, wood carving and more!


30TH Annual Buffalo Quickies At Alleyway Theatre - From June 17 – July 10, the festival will play Wednesdays thru Saturdays at 8:15pm on the 600 block of Main Street. Storefronts along Main Street will be transformed into distinct theatrical worlds, each containing a short play. Tickets are $30-42 and must be purchased in advance.


The Taste of Buffalo - Saturday July 10 from 11am until 9pm and Sunday, July 11 from 11am until 7pm on Delaware Avenue from Huron into Niagara Square.

Caprese Salad Kabobs

Ingredients

  • 24 grape tomatoes
  • 12 cherry-size fresh mozzarella cheese balls
  • 24 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar


Directions

  1. On each of 12 appetizer skewers, alternately thread 2 tomatoes, 1 cheese ball and 2 basil leaves. Whisk olive oil and vinegar; drizzle over kabobs.
