Lead Teacher Meeting and the Capacities of Digital Learning

We are excited for you to be a part of the Lead Teacher May 25th meeting. We explored four of the nine capacities at our April meeting and we will continue to explore the remaining five digital capacities to advance teaching and learning. These capacities will include:

  • Supporting self-reflection and evaluation
  • Supporting comparing and contrasting
  • Supporting word-processing with multimedia
  • Supporting mass communication and feedback
  • Supporting project-based learning

We will conduct these sessions in a rotational manner but we will not have time for everyone to attend every session. Therefore, please complete the google form and choose 4 sessions that you would like to attend. All forms should be completed by Thursday.

Summer Workshops and MSDE Course

Summer Workshops: Summer workshops closed on April 30th. Registrants should have been notified of acceptance or dropped status by the instructor. If a teacher has any questions, he/she can notify the workshop instructor. For some classes, we created a waiting list for participants who would like to attend. Please encourage teachers to send an email previous to the day of the workshop if he/she cannot attend class so that other teachers may have the opportunity. Workshops are paid $25 per hour up to 8 hours per day.

Lead Teachers: if you did not register for any of the June lead teacher dates and would now like to register, either as a refresher or to advance your learning, please call Cindi Minnichbach by Wednesday, May 18th.

MSDE Courses: MSDE courses closed on May 15th and registrants will be notified of acceptance throughout this week. Please encourage teachers to take the necessary reading classes and special education classes that are offered throughout the year. All reading and special education courses will be offered once per year and decisions will be based according to the amount of teachers registered.
