Welcome To Catholic Schools Week!
Welcome to National Catholic Schools Week, our annual celebration of what makes education at St. Anthony of Padua outstanding! We have an entire week of activities planned to celebrate the community we have built to educate our students, tomorrow’s citizens and leaders. The theme of our celebration is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” The theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in Catholic schools across the country. Not only are we teaching students to become future leaders, faith-filled individuals, and enriched citizens in our communities, our teachers are growing with them. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants and leaders. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools work. They are what make Catholic schools succeed. The theme also focuses on key elements of Catholic education: faith development, academic excellence and dedication to service. These elements set Catholic schools apart from other educational options. They are why families make sacrifices to provide their children with a Catholic education. I am grateful every day for our teachers, pastor, priests, school and parish staffs, students, Advisory Council members, PTO Board and members, parents, and volunteers, all who make our school such a tremendous success. National Catholic Schools Week is a good time for all of us to thank them for their dedication and service!

Introducing the newest member of our Faculty ....
We are very pleased to introduce the newest member of our faculty, Mrs. Tammy Slank. Beginning next week, Mrs. Slank will be providing art instruction for our students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. Mrs. Slank is a graduate of Syracuse University where she earned her Master’s Degree with a major in Art Education. In addition, her Fine Arts Degree (with a major in Graphic Design) was received from the New York Institute of Technology. Mrs. Slank joins us with over twenty years of teaching experience, in private, Catholic, and public education settings. Her experience, passion, and enthusiasm for teaching art will be an asset to our students. We are also happy to announce that Mrs. Meyers will be working collaboratively with Mrs. Slank, implementing art instruction for our youngest students. Please join use in welcoming Mrs. Slank as we look forward to her contributions, advancing our programs, and our commitment to the arts.
