WCHE Welcomes LTISD Board Member Lauren White to Friday's Assembly

January is LTISD School Board Appreciation Month, and we are very excited to kick off the month by welcoming Board Secretary Lauren White to our campus. Mrs. White was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2018. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she majored in Elementary Education and Special Education.


Mrs. White is an experienced elementary teacher and an experienced special education teacher. We are thrilled that she is joining us for our Friday morning assembly, 7:40 am, January 10.


We are thankful to the LTISD School Board of Trustees for their dedication, leadership, and the work that they do to launch the next generation. Thank you, LTISD Board and Mrs. White, for making a difference. Thank you for providing our Tigers with the tools that they need to be successful learners for life.

Parents of Spelling Bee Participants are cordially invited to attend the 2019-2020 WCHE Tiger Spelling Bee. Our Bee will be in the Tiger's Den (aka Cafeteria) from 1:30 - 2:30 pm.

WCHE Presents the 2019-2020 Tiger Science Fair January 16!

See science in a whole new light! Drop by the WCHE Gym between 5 and 6 pm on Thursday, January 16, to experience the 2019-2020 world of science.


Students will have opportunities to experience the Science Fair during the school day January 16, and parents and guests are welcome to also come to experience the Science Fair between 5 and 6 that evening. The 2019-2020 Tiger Science Fair winners will be named around 5:30 pm Thursday, January 16.


We hope to see you there!

Yearbooks are a great way to remember the school year.

The 2019-2020 edition of the WCHE yearbook is on sale now through January 24 at $35 per yearbook. Additional options such as stamping the student's name on the cover or printing either large or small pridelines in the yearbook are also available for purchase.


Order at your convenience at Balfour on line. Once in the Balfour site, enter "West Cypress Hills" as the school name and then select "yearbook." Orders may be be placed by phone, too, at 1-800-944-5930.

Wall of Fame for Shoe Tying! Did anyone learn to tie shoelaces over the holidays?

If your Kinder, 1st Grader, and/or Second Grader can tie his/her shoes, please notify Coaches Mirizzi and Cadorette because they want to honor this accomplishment in the school gym on our WALL OF FAME FOR SHOE TYING!


Once notified of the student's successful shoe-tying accomplishment, we will provide your student with a paper shoe to color, take the student's photo, and then post the photo and customized paper shoe on our WALL OF FAME FOR SHOE TYING!


It's going to be really exciting to see our young Tigers on our WALL OF FAME!
