We Are "All-In" This Together...

We have 4 goals with our e-News this week.

  1. Recognizing our amazing teachers and staff for all they do for our students. We are blessed to have such an incredible staff. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We look forward to when we can all be together again...a true homecoming and celebrate choosing to be a teacher. It is not a 'job' it is a calling! Thank you for all you do!
  2. Reaching out to our Mavs to let you and your children know we are thinking about you and appreciate you! (See below for Story Time with Mrs. Powell to enjoy a story or a poem since we can't have story time in class right now. Enjoy meeting Augie, Mac, and Tank!)
  3. Preparing for the 2020-2021 school year as we do this time of year, each year. (While we continue to plan for the end of this year too!)
  4. Providing you with the Learning Links for your children for 5/4-5/8.

As promised, we will continue to send out our Learning Links on Sunday at 3:00 to provide parents some additional 'review and prep' time for the upcoming week before your own work week begins on Monday morning.

Please know... We will work together with you to help in any way we can. If you have any questions or need to touch base, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you and your children. We are here to help all our students be successful.

Take care of you and yours and in so doing, we take care of each other.

Parent Request for 2020-21

As we begin the process of class placements for next year (current Kinder through 4th grade), we value the input of parents who feel they have the need for special consideration for their child.

With that in mind, please adhere to the following guidelines should you feel the need to make a request:

Please indicate the qualities you are looking for in your child’s teacher.

Please do not request a teacher by name, as we will be unable to honor specific requests.

You may send your written request directly by email to the principal, at ryan.steele@pisd.edu, by May 8, 2020.

Please know careful consideration is given by current teachers, counselor and administration as to the appropriate placement of each child for the 2020-21 school year.

Thank you in advance for your support with this district guideline.
