Experience 4-H at the Nebraska State Fair from wherever you might be! Download the 4-H at the Nebraska State Fair App for your iPad/iPhone or Android mobile device. A reminder of the changes for 2018, if an animal is shown as FFA at State Fair, you can still show that animal at AKSARBEN this year.

4-H ROBOTICS INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Are you interested in joining First Lego League or First Lego League Junior? Come to an informational meeting on September 10th at 7:00p.m. at the Extension Office. We will be discussing the options for having FLL teams in York County. Youth ages 6-14 can be involved.

Becoming Beef Detectives

New this Fall! Have you ever wanted to learn more about the beef industry? Now is your chance to become a Beef Detective!

When: The 2nd Monday of each month starting September 10th.

Time: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Age: All ages welcome

Location: York County Extension Office

Topics that will be covered: Breeds and classifications, cow-calf, feeds and feeding, digestive system, feedlot tours, health care, and harvesting.

Nebraska 4-H Fed Steer Challenge

A new and exciting program will be rolling out as a pilot phase this year. This is an amazing opportunity for youth who are 4-H age 14 or older and are interested in being leaders in the beef industry to learn from animal science faculty, interact with producers and network with representatives from the industry over the course of the year. Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium

The 15th annual Nebraska Beef Leadership Symposium will be held November 2-4, 2018 at Animal Science Complex on UNL East Campus. Registration will be online and the applications are due September 15th.
