Research Council Introduction, Study Opportunities, and MORE...
The Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics works to promote better use of evidence in practice and help facilitate more contributions to research by our members. With that goal in mind, the Council created a Research Committee. Your Research Committee currently has two new ways in which we are helping members contribute to research.
The first is the opportunity to participate in a practice-based research study to develop an outcome assessment questionnaire for suboptimal breastfeeding. This project is designed to have a minimal impact on your office’s workload to make it easy for doctors to help collect important data for the researchers. There are short questionnaires that both the doctors and moms will need to fill out. This project will continue through May and you can join at any time. If you're interested or have any questions please contact Dr. Jessie Young at JessieYoung@gmail.com
The second opportunity is to submit an abstract for a case presentation at our upcoming Symposium. You will have the opportunity to share your case at the Symposium. If unable to share at the 2019 Symposium, you are still encouraged to submit an abstract as the committee can help you develop a case reports to submit for peer-reviewed publication. The types of cases to submit can include, but are not limited to, those that increase awareness of a condition, highlight proper diagnostic strategies or show an unusual presentation of a common condition. You can find out more about abstract submissions here. If you have an idea but need help getting started contact Dr. Young for assistance. Abstract submissions for your Case Presentations are due by March 1st to DrJessieYoung@gmail.com
