Davis Families,

As you know, CMSD is beginning its transition to hybrid learning. Many of you have received letters from the district mailed to your house with information about returning. Some of you may have questions you need answered before you can decide if you feel comfortable and safe returning for in-person learning. Please note the following:

1. Students are returning to the building in phases beginning March 8th. Only a few students will return on this date. Most students will stay home and continue with remote learning.
2. Please do not send your child to school for in-person learning if you have not heard from Davis A&M about your child’s return date. The school will contact families directly by phone, parent email, and student email to inform them of their child’s specific return date.
3. Davis will host parent Zoom meetings in early March to provide more information about returning in person including schedule details and safety protocols. Specific dates and times for these meetings will be communicated soon. Please complete this form to communicate questions and concerns so we can address them at the parent meeting.
4. All families will have the option of a “Hybrid” schedule that includes two days of in-person instruction and two days of remote instruction), or a “Fully Remote” schedule similar to the current remote schedule.
5. Families will have until March 19th to choose to stay fully remote for the remainder of the year. Parents will not be able to change their decision after their choice is finalized
6. When your student eventually returns, they will be expected to be in our standard dress code. (white, black, or blue collar shirt and khaki, black, or navy pants). We will be providing a free Davis collared shirt to all students.

Each week, we email thoughts and suggest readings for the week; you can certainly read at your own pace though.
