WORDS FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Speaking of learning, this year our teachers have been training and implementing more personalized learning in their daily schedules and lessons. We have had the privilege of learning from a national expert, Eric Sheninger. He was at Heritage visiting classrooms yesterday and I was so proud and pleased with the personalization I saw in each classroom we were in. Your children are in good hands with their teachers who are great examples of always learning and growing themselves.
One last thing, if you know of anyone who has left Heritage because of the pandemic and is planning to return in August 2021, please let them know that they need to register their kids now. Also, if you have new move ins, please direct them to us as soon as possible. We are trying to get a better idea of how many students we will have next year because it impacts the number of teachers we will have and we want to be ready. Thank you for any help you can give us on this matter.
Have a great week!

Do you know what apps your child is using?
No one cares more about your child’s well-being and success more than you do. In today’s digitally fueled times that means, guiding him or her through it all. It is a parental challenge more now than ever before.
1)Here are apps parents should be aware of that tweens and teens have been flocking to in 2021:
2) It is important to note that new social media apps pop up all the time.
3) Make a rule that your child must ask permission before downloading any apps—even free ones—just so you are aware of them. Together you can set up the security for that app. Unrestricted access and use can lead to behavioral, emotional and even physical problems.
4) There are a variety of products that can help you monitor your child online—
Net Nanny filters web content and sets internet time limits.
Qustodio provides a comprehensive dashboard to help monitor your child’s online activity.
Others—MamaBear, ScreenTime, Youtube kids, Bark, and more.
