FIRST WEEK A SUCCESS!
Students did a great job this week settling into the first week of school. They met new classmates, learned routines in their classrooms, took tours of the school and practiced a fire drill. Students also explored books and manipulatives, shared their interests through pictures and words, and began their specialist schedules. Lunch for Grades 1-5 and recesses were also a success.
ART SMOCKS NEEDED
Please send a smock to school with your child. An oversized t-shirt works well. Please use permanent marker and label it with your child's name. Students will keep their smock in their locker and bring it with them when they go to art class.
Thank you!
Ms. Durrell
Art SpecialistPLEASE RETURN ALL FORMS
As a reminder, please return all forms with your child to school. Your child's teacher will send them to the main office. Of special importance is the pink dismissal form. Thank you for your help.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
We strongly encourage walking, bicycling, bus riding and carpooling to school.
If traveling by car, we also encourage live drop-off and pick-up, as opposed to parking. Our drop-off arrival is safe and efficient. Our live pick-up is done in 15 minutes, and also safe and efficient.
When lining up for dismissal, cars should not line up earlier than 3:00 on M, T, W, F and 12:00 on TH. Idling is line is prohibited. Cars must be shut down. Please also do not wait / idle in parking spaces when waiting for dismissal.
Please place a sign in the passenger side window with your child's last name, first name / teacher name / grade level circled. Thank you!
