World War I

U.S. Industry, Armed Forces, and Propaganda

During the war, the industries in the U.S. boomed. Countries would buy supplies like ammunition, guns, clothing. The government began to regulate and control industry by creating agencies like the War Industries Board. They also created the Food Administration. This regulated how much food you can have and where most of the food went.
