If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost a cinch that you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can!

"Thinking" by Walter Wintle

As I approach my 2 year anniversary next month, I want to share what I've learned thus far along this R+F journey.

First, they weren't kidding when they said it's a 3-5 year plan. I approached this business hearing those words echoed before me, but also half thinking, "come on....really?!" But there is no short cut to success. Sure, there may be fast starts and great months and tons of momentum, but it must always be followed up with consistency.

Second, you must be willing to stretch yourself beyond your own perceived limitations. This business has shed light on where I tend to coast and use my "talent" and where I could stand to dig in. I've now learned to not be afraid to tell everyone what I else will they hear the real reason behind my great skin or why I'm able to spend more time with my friends and family?

Third, the fastest way to earn dollars in this business is to rely on yourself. You earn the most commission based on your own efforts (10% to start, 15% when you hit EC monthly). When I saw that difference in my paycheck, it opened my eyes to the potential of this business. Therefore, maintaining my EC status ($600 PSQV) has always been my bare minimum goal.

When I saw that my solo efforts could be rewarded exponentially by growing a team, that's where I saw how real long-term wealth could be achieved. My personal volume, no matter how great, will always pale in comparison to that of this stellar squad. I appreciate every one of you and want you each to know that should you need help on this journey, I am here.

Thunderous applause and Big Congratulations to Leanne Lloyd who SLAYED the month of August by adding 7 new PCs and hitting EC. Based on a point system, (1 point for hitting EC; 2 for every New PC; 3 for every New C), Leanne earned herself 15 points and a $75 goodie from me. Way to get after it Leanne.
As a team, we added 25 new PC's and 1 new C. Our Org Volume was $26,891.

Incentives: Team Ariza & Unicorn Battles Round Three

Big image
We came out of our second battle round a little bumped and bruised. For some, it was a killer month with a lot of personal bests. However, for more than a few of us, August wasn't the best month on record. Personally, I had my second highest PSQV to date and was gunning for L5 and 5 new PC's but I fell a bit short. Oh well, it happens. As with any business, there will be ups and downs. Epic months and Epic fails! We applaud them all. Let's now send our focus forward to see what glory we can get from sweet September.

I've been digging this whole point system thing, so in addition to the incentive Rachel & Lacy are offering for battle winners, for my team I've got another $75 goodie going to the consultant with the most points at the end of the month.

  • 1 point for hitting EC
  • 2 points for every new PC
  • 3 points for every consultant added

Please keep track of your personal progress and email me with your total Sept 30th.

What's New: C&C and ALLURE Magazine

Big image
If you haven't already heard, the C&C crew will be getting a HUGE shout out in this month's Allure magazine. This is NOT to be spoken of or posted until it hits the stands. However, use this to your advantage NOW to help explode your business. Ask me or your direct for tips on how.

A Word of Advice: Entrepreneur isn't a bad word!

I recently read a killer article about franchises in the August issue of Entrepreneur magazine. Below is one quote that I loved, but click HERE to read the whole article.

“People get caught up in the idea of owning a physical retail location,” says Eric Stites, founder of market research firm Franchise Business Review, which publishes an annual satisfaction survey on low-cost franchises. “That’s their idea of owning a business. But you have to sell a lot of frozen yogurt to pay for that initial $300,000 to $400,000 buildout.”
