Valley updates for the week of 9/7-9/10
AcademicsThere is NO SCHOOL Monday, 9/6 due to Labor Day. Thank you to all students who are wearing your IDs! IDs are necessary to enter the building and to go through the lunch lines. If you are wearing it, you won't forget it in your car or bag! Just a reminder that after 8:20 AM, all doors lock and students and visitors will need to come through the North Main Entrance. With a return of the 21-22 school year, we also return to Valley being a closed campus. Students are expected to be at school during their scheduled classes. Only Seniors have a 30 minute open lunch. Please make a good habit of attending classes! Valley's School Improvement Goal for attendance is 90% of our students are in attendance 90% of the time. This means in a 180 day school year, students will be absent no more than 9 times a semester, or two days a month. | ArtsAll students interested in participating in Valley's Fall play Dracula are invited to pick up informational packets in the Drama room 1730. Auditions and Tech interviews are September 7th and 8th beginning at 3:30 PM. All students are welcome to participate as actors, musicians, make up, costumes, tech roles, and stage managers. | ActivitiesThe Club and Activity Fair is coming in September! Make sure to keep your eyes open to reserve a table or get involved with a club or activity. Any student interested in participating on the Principal's Advisory Council please pick up an application from Mr. Maxwell's secretary Ms. Gaunt. Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month at 7:15 AM in the Forum. |
