Paul Knows All

Dear Paul,

I’ve been a Gentile my whole life and we can have many wives. How many wives can you have?

Yours truly,

Wonder Wives

Dear Wonder Wives,

A Christian man can only have one wife. As it says in Genesis, a man may leave his mother and father and marry a woman and they shall become one flesh.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

As a Gentile, we don’t have to be a certain age to get married. How old do you have to be to get married?

Yours truly,

Awed About Ages

Dear Awed About Ages,

I don't believe you have to be a certain age. You shouldn't, though, get married as an infant or child.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

Does one have to get married?

Yours truly,

Single and NOT ready to mingle

Dear Single and NOT ready to mingle,

You don't have to get married. You could be part of an order or just not get married. Matthew tells us that you could be a religious who lives in a community and is dedicated to witnessing the Gospel. I also told the Romans about ordained orders; men who share in the ministry of the apostles.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

As far as the Sabbath goes, what days do I have to go to church?

Yours truly,

Sabbath Savvy

Dear Sabbath Savvy,

The Lord says that you must go to church on the Sabbath day, Day 7. On all other days you work and labor but on day seven no one works because God created the world in six days and rested on the last.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

When I die, what happens to me?

Yours truly,

Death Damsel

Dear Death Damsel,

You go to the kingdom of heaven, the place where Jesus went and where God lives. You may only go there, though, if you truly believe in Christ and that He is your savior. You must also repent and pray after you sin to ask for forgiveness to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

Do you have certain set of rules for me to follow?

Yours truly,

Law lady

Dear Law lady,

You need to follow the Ten Commandments which God gave to Jesus' ancestors through Moses. You don't need to follow Jewish rules though. You may also consult the Torah for further questions about the Ten Commandments.

Yours truly,

Paul

Dear Paul,

I'm afraid to become Christian because I don't want to be persecuted. Should I risk my life or not?

Yours truly,

Aghast Anne

Dear Aghast Anne,

If you truly believe in Christ, you should become Christian. Because Christ is your savior, you can give your life to him. I know it sounds scary, but Matthew tells us that Jesus taught us: "Blessed are the persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven." Jesus loves you and He has your back!

Yours truly,

Paul
