Assigning Carts in Inventory
Laptop and iPad Carts
With all of the iPad carts and laptop carts that are arriving in the district. We are going to make a change on how we identify the locations for these carts on your campus. In the past we identified the location by changing the room name of the cart to the room number. This has become confusing for us when we need to look up inventory information for a certain cart number.
Existing Carts
Carts that are currently on your campus will need to be setup in inventory like the example below.
New Carts
Any laptop/iPad carts will be setup like this in inventory.
Fields 1 thru 3 will be entered by designated TMS staff.
Field 4 can be updated by the CTS or your campus technician. If you are going to have the campus technician update this field please be sure to submit a work order with detailed information.
1 - Room Number: Cart number assigned to the cart by TMS
2 - Description: The type of cart (i.e. 4th Grade iPad Cart, Library Laptop Cart)
3 - Room Type: Type of cart
4 - Other: Room number the cart is assigned to on the campus.
How to update room information
To update a room, select the green pencil next to that room.
Enter the room number that the cart will be assigned to for the year in the field labeled "other". Once you have finished updating the room click the green floppy disk in the lower right corner to save.
