Meeting with Senator Ben Allen
Members of the Executive Board, Bargaining Committee, and CTA met with Senator Ben Allen about the state budget and AB 98.
Return to School Feedback
Sarah Wahrenbrock, Assistant to the Superintendent, reports we can continue to submit comments, questions, concerns, and suggestions on the return to school through the townhall links. They will be read by Superintendent Drati, the Assistant Superintendents, and other members of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

MOU
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Return to School is being negotiated by our bargaining committee.
The next meeting is July 14.
Our Bargaining Committee is: Jorge Cierra, Grant Clark, Liz Cowgill, Kathleen Faas, Adam Panish, and Peggy O'Meara

SBAC
The goal of the Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) is to recommend budget realignment and Stabilization Plan to address reduced school funding and budget cuts.
Membership is made up of district personnel, parent representatives, and teachers.

Meetings are scheduled for 7/27 and 8/24 and are open to the public, but to comment or ask questions please contact:

Bylaws
A committee was formed to review and amend our SMMCTA Bylaws and Standing Rules. Please contact our chair, Ned Acker with any comments, questions, or concerns. ackernathaniel@yahoo.com
"We knocked out a couple of the bylaws and worked out the language. We have a number of other bylaws on the docket and will continue with them next week. It’s a work in progress, but progress it is," says Acker.
