Saturn

Information
My space project is about Saturn. Saturn was the most distant of the 5 planets known to the ancients In 1610, Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei was the first to gaze out Saturn through a telescope. To his surprise he saw a pair of objects on either side of the planet. He sketched them as a separate spheres so that the next time he would look out with his telescope he would remember their moons.
About Saturn
Saturn’s magnetic fields are not as huge as Jupiter, but still Saturn’s magnetic field is still 578 times as Earth. Saturn’s moon is Titan and it is bigger than Mercury and Titan is the second largest moon and that Jupiter’s moon is the biggest out of all of the planets in the solar system. Saturn’s rings and many of the satellites lie totally within Saturn’s own enormous magnetosphere – the region of space in which the behavior of electrically charged particles is influenced more by Saturn’s magnetic field than by the solar wind.
This next video is about Apollo 8 and how they are going to Saturn. Watch and learn more about Apollo 8 and their discovery.
