We are excited to celebrate the promotion of our 5th graders on Monday, June 5th at 6pm! Each 5th grade student received 3 tickets to bring home today. Anyone attending the ceremony must have a ticket to enter, including small children or babies. Please do not misplace or lose your tickets as we will not be allowed to issue new tickets. We will also send a zoom link so that those unable to attend can stream the ceremony live. There will also be streaming in the media center at JM for anyone without a ticket.

5th graders will need to arrive at Jordan Matthews High School by 5:00 pm on Monday for a quick and very important practice. Students will need to be dropped off at the doors that are beside the tennis courts at that time. Parents will be allowed into the auditorium at 5:45.

EOG scores will be sent home in envelopes with students on Monday, June 5th. If your student needs to retest, it is important to send back the form on Tuesday morning. Re-administration dates for EOGs will be on June 12th, June 13th, and June 14th. We will be making phone calls to each child’s family individually that is invited to re-administration. It is vital that students come to retake their test if they are given the opportunity! Everyone deserves a second chance! We know they grow!

In order to prepare for field day, please send a complete change of clothes! More directions on clothes to wear are on Classdojo and the flyer on our school website. Remember, to have your child put on sunscreen before leaving for school. Send a towel and hat, as well as 1-2 water bottles and a snack.

There are about 25 yearbooks left that will be sold at the front office and at the 5th grade promotion ceremony. Get yours before they are gone.

¡Estamos emocionados de celebrar la promoción de nuestros alumnos de 5.° grado el lunes 5 de junio a las 6 p. m.! Cada estudiante de 5to grado recibió 3 boletos para llevar a casa hoy. Cualquier persona que asista a la ceremonia debe tener un boleto para ingresar, incluidos los niños pequeños o bebés. No extravíe ni pierda sus boletos, ya que no se nos permitirá emitir boletos nuevos. También enviaremos un enlace de zoom para que aquellos que no puedan asistir puedan transmitir la ceremonia en vivo.

Los alumnos de 5º grado deberán llegar a la Escuela Secundaria Jordan Matthews el lunes a las 5:00 p. m. para una práctica rápida y muy importante. Los estudiantes deberán ser dejados en las puertas que están al lado de las canchas de tenis en ese momento.

Los puntajes de EOG se enviarán a casa en sobres con los estudiantes el lunes 5 de junio. Si su estudiante necesita volver a tomar la prueba, es importante que envíe el formulario el martes por la mañana. Las fechas de retomen de los EOG serán el 12, 13 y 14 de junio. Haremos llamadas telefónicas a la familia de cada niño individualmente que esté invitado a retomar el examen de fin de año. ¡Es vital que los estudiantes vengan a tomar nuevamente su examen si se les da la oportunidad! ¡Todos merecen una segunda oportunidad!

Para prepararse para el día de campo, ¡envíe una muda completa de ropa! Más instrucciones sobre la ropa que se debe usar están en Classdojo y el volante en el sitio web de nuestra escuela. Recuerde, que su hijo se ponga protector solar antes de irse a la escuela. Envía una toalla y cachucha, también por lo menos 2 botellas de agua y snack.

Quedan solamente 25 anuarios y se van rápido. Pase por la oficina escolar y hable con Michelle y Millie para que le ayuden a comprar uno. Llevar tarjeta de débito o crédito. No se acepta efectivo.
